Selamat pagi people!!!
It’s a beautiful morning on this beautiful island. So we’ve come to Langkawi Island to continue our journey. We are staying at the Kampung Tok Senik Resort. It’s a really nice place to stay. Very comfy and cozy. We went for a walk around our resort to explore the surrounding.
I talked to the local people and asked what is the best thing to do on a wonderful day? They said “try the Seven Wells”. The Seven Wells Waterfall is locally known as Telaga Tujuh and is indeed a geological marvel. The Seven Wells is the spot where freshwater streams plunges from seven pools into the majestic waterfall creating an awe-inspiring sight. It was amazing to see. This waterfall is situated near the Telaga Harbour. Legend tells us that wells or pools at the top of the falls are where Fairies come to bathe.
Approaching from Pantai Kok you come to a small car park which has a RM2 charge for cars & RM1 for bikes, there are also a number of small shops here selling drinks, clothing & food. From here you can either take the steps on the right hand side of the shops or walk up the very steep incline of the service road to get to the steps that will take you down to the base of the waterfall itself, where the pools provide welcome relief for tired feet.
Visiting the pools, especially the top one, will definitely bring excitement besides seeing greenery and enjoying cooling surroundings. Adding a mystical touch to the natural splendor is the lush green forest that surrounds it. You might be lucky to get the glimpse of a hornbill, with its huge hooked orange beak, hanging out of the treetops. Enjoy the chirping of birds, whistling of woods and sound of cascading waters throughout your journey. Once arrived at the top, the quaint vista of the landscape is absolutely stunning.
While I took lots of pictures, Andri and G listened to the relaxing sound of the rainforest.
We later climbed down the steps because I didn’t want to fall on my way down the steep road. At the bottom of the hill are shops where you can get fresh coconut water to drink. It is really refreshing after loosing all those calories. Phew......
